Everyone is eventually faced with the fact that they're no longer young anymore. Your whole life is no longer in front of you. That youthful feeling of immortality has long since left you, and you're not cherished and loved the way you thought you would be - no one wants to be you, and you want to be what you once were.
13th & East has a new single out, and it's called "Coming Down". It's about the above feelings, and coming to terms with who you are now and reaffirming your reason to be. The genesis for this song was back in late August of 2021. As with many of our songs, the idea started in what we call "the writing room", sitting on Chris' deck that overlooks the DuPage River on a warm August afternoon, with a simple acoustic guitar melody, that eventually evolved into the track we have now just released.
